The Role of Traditional and Modern Employee Performance Appraisal Methods in the Management of Human Resources: An Applied Study at the State Company for Textile and Leather Industries

The research aims to indicate which methods are used in the field by a selected company in the evaluation process, to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the process of evaluating the performance of employees, and to make recommendations that would develop the evaluation function, where the theoretical aspect of the research discussed human resources and the old and modern methods used in evaluating the performance of the employees, and the research sample and society represented in the employees and managers of departments at the General Company for Leather and Textile Industries, where 10 questionnaires were distributed, 9 were retrieved and one was excluded whose evidence was not complete, as the study reached conclusions, the most prominent of which were: - The selected sample mixes the old methods and a part of the modern methods in evaluating the performance of the workers, One of the modern methods is the critical facts method, as it obtained higher average scores than the non-interpretation method by (2.4 degrees), Among the most prominent unused modern methods, are the comprehensive quality method and the feedback method (360) this was confirmed by the average score for these two methods (1.9 degrees), which indicates the inadequacy of the methods used in the evaluation.
