Cognitive distortion and its relationship to the cognitive burden among middle school students

The current research seeks to determine the cognitive distortion and its relationship to the cognitive burden of middle school students. To achieve the objectives of the current study, the researcher took the steps of the descriptive approach, by defining the research community and its sample, and acquiring the appropriate psychometric properties of the two research tools by achieving honesty and consistency. After the researcher was convinced of these characteristics, the two scales were applied to (400) of a research sample. The following results were obtained after using the appropriate statistical methods: 1. Low level of cognitive distortion among middle school students 2. There are gender differences in cognitive distortion in favor of males 3. Low cognitive load among middle school students 4. There are no differences in cognitive load 5. There is a relationship between the research variables
